Leaked Audio Sheds Light on Thulo/Bikwa Bust-Up

Leaked audio from an altercation between Boity Thulo and Bujy Bikwa has recently emerged online.

Last Thursday night, 30 September, an argument erupted between the 31-year-old rapper and the 33-year-old former radio presenter at the Courtyard Hotel in Midrand. Things got heated to the point that Bikwa allegedly threw a bottle of alcohol at Thulo’s face, leading to her hospitalisation.

Now, audio from the incident – apparently recorded by one of Thulo’s friends – has come to light: after attending a cellphone launch event, Bikwa is heard saying in the “Bhuti” rapper’s presence: “Boity is bragging about ancestors with so much aggressiveness, but she is weak.”

After a quick exchange, Thulo is heard remarking: “Nobody knows who [Bikwa] is. He’s like a nobody. Anytime he shows up anywhere, everyone wonders why this guy is even around.”

Bikwa then calls Thulo’s ancestors “fake” and promises that everyone will know who he is after dealing with her, before the sound of a smashed glass or bottle is heard.

The incident is currently under investigation, with Bikwa – who was released on R2 000 bail from the Johannesburg Correctional Centre – facing charges of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
